About a week ago I made pulled pork in my slow cooker and it turned out so well. The meat was soft, juicy and tender and I made it all without onions or garlic! This is a huge victory for me, actual, "real" food that turned out well. On top of that I cooked meat and it turned out great! I grew up as a vegetarian, so I never learned how to cook meat really and most of my attempts on my own have been disasters.
Well, even though the pork has just the right amount of other spices, it was missing the great BBQ sauce to make it that dish that I love. So, what you see above is my first attempt at homemade BBQ sauce. There is no recipe for this one. It all went down the drain. I was quite sad, and ate my pulled pork plain, but it is something I will be working on! Just a heads up on what's coming down the road.
I'll just leave you all with this picture of the sunset the other night. The evenings here have that nice, crisp chill in the air that make being outside refreshing. Even though I live in a pretty industrial area, this one little patch of nature looked so beautiful. Good evening everyone!
